Connect Recharge to Polar to sync your subscription data, and make sure the Polar Pixel tracks orders placed through your Recharge checkout.
Before you start
Your Recharge store needs to have data. Polar can't sync an empty account.
You need to be the Recharge store owner, or have permission to create API tokens in Recharge.
Connect Recharge
In Polar, go to the Connectors page and search for Recharge.
Click Connect to Polar Analytics.
In a new tab, log in to your Recharge admin and go to Apps > API tokens.
Click Create an Admin API Token.
In the permissions section, select Read Access for all scopes.
Click Save, then copy the access token.
Back in Polar, paste the token into the Recharge connector setup.
Select the Shopify store linked to your Recharge account.
Click Connect.
Your Recharge data can take up to 24 hours to appear. See Data Syncs.
Track Recharge orders with the Polar Pixel
What you need to do depends on which Recharge checkout you use.
Recharge checkout | What to do |
Shopify checkout (the default for stores that joined Recharge since 2020) | Nothing extra. Checkouts run in Shopify, so the standard Pixel install covers them. See Using the Polar Pixel: Complete Installation & Tracking Setup Guide. |
Custom Recharge checkout | Add the Pixel script to your Recharge Thank you page. Follow the Recharge steps in Add the Polar Pixel to 3rd-Party Checkouts. |

FAQs
When does Recharge process charges?
After midnight Eastern Time (ET), by default, for the recurring orders queued that day.
Why don't my Recharge numbers match Polar exactly?
Small differences are normal, usually under 5%. Polar syncs through the Recharge API, so timing and API limits mean the numbers won't always match one to one. Common causes:
Deleted subscriptions. The Recharge API doesn't return them, so Polar doesn't include them.
Different date ranges or time zones between the two reports.
Different date fields, for example subscription created date versus charge processed date.
Different metric definitions or filters in Polar or Recharge.
If the gap is well above 5% after you've checked these, contact us through the in-app chat.
